O Siva, Lord of Eternal Time!
I am not enamored of celestial joys
I do not desire worldly possessions,
But, I have a desire, for so long, to watch
Thy blissful dance in the gem studded hall
Of my heart.It is beautified with my devotion.
Here in all Gods and Angels joined to create
Orchestra to Thee with various instruments;
Thy cosmic Bull Nandi taken charge of drums
Lord of speech has taken up the cymbals and
Lord Vishnu a double sided drum, Bhadra took
Up a blaring clarion, the goddess of knowledge
Saraswati attended with her wonderful lute and
Laxmi the goddess of beauty taken up a wind pipe;
Lord Indra a flute, Bana has a thousand faced drum
And all other gods have various kinds of instruments!

O Siva, Lord of universe! O Consort of Bhavani,
Art Thou ready in the minimum attire revealing
All Thy features having a tiger skin of delusion
Around Thy loins fastened and ashes of nebulae
Smeared all over Thy shining crystalline limbs
And the snakes of cosmic winds with lustrous
Red gems on their hoods have intertwined with
Thy matted locks and the crescent moon shines
In Thy matted locks where the heavenly Ganges
With Currents of milky ways hidden like a lotus;
Thou hast entered the hall of gems in the twilight
With beautiful smiles of lightening on Thy face.
At the very sign of Thy brow, Cosmic bull Nandi
Started beating of drum as Naandi for Thy dance.
It is like eternal sounds of Omkara and Humkara
The Hum, hum, dhim, dhim, hum, hum, dhim dhim
Sounds are followed by the Orchestra of the gods
And goddesses, with lute, flute, clarion and pipes
Sweetly tuned along with rhythmic beats of drums;
The goddesses, and cosmic energies have started
Their chorus, as Mother of the world began to sing
In the accompaniment of the musical instruments!

Siva, the Lord of Eternal Time and the King dancer
Has commenced his dance in rhythmic movements
Of his limbs, while other gods are thrilled with joy;
His bound up matted locks loosened by the tempo
Of his dance, and the sprays of water from Heavenly
Ganges on His head, sprinkled all around on viewers
And swift movements of His spreading matted locks
Scattered the stars in the sky like jasmine flowers
And vigorous movements of His hands scattered a mist
Of the sacred ashes of the whole nebulae and all galaxies,
Has created an illusion of a white curtain behind the Lord!

The sages and celestials reverently smeared the holy ashes on
Their chests to attain eternal bliss; As the dance of the Lord
Gathered a momentum along with the song, Meaning was rendered
By hands and the moods by His glances, and the rhythm marked
By the feet of Lord, Where the hands moved there the glances
Followed;and Where the glances went the mind followed; Where
The mind went there the mood followed; Where the mood went
There was the flavor of bliss. When I was watching the dance
Of lord, I heard mantras surging forth in rhythmic crescendos
"Om Namah Sivaya, Hara, Hara Mahadev Sambho"- then Lord
Brahma and goddess Saraswati started a hymn,singing along
With notes of lute and flutes when other instruments fallen
Silent, then light became Dim, and nothing was visible except
The dance of Lord, who had withdrawn the entire universe
Into His supreme self of eternal bliss and looked as though
The Lord was dancing far beyond the darkness in His own
Effulgence, and His light turned into an Ocean of refulgent
Light spreading over to quarters,where I floated on the waves
Of light like a star and I merged in the ocean of Supreme Bliss!
